Business continuity and the necessity of effective emergency planning will be the subjects of a conference which is to take place in the Midlands this summer.
The Emergency Planning Society's 2009 Annual Conference and Exhibition will be taking place over two days in June in Coventry, just south of Birmingham.
As the recession causing the risk of industry strikes and walkouts to grow, effective business continuity planning could play an important part in ensuring that businesses ride out the economic storm.
The Emergency Planning Society said: "Whether you are a seasoned professional looking for the next big thing, looking for new initiatives and ways of working or newcomers to the profession, the Conference and Exhibition will offer you an opportunity for a solid learning network."
Business Continuity plans can help companies deal with a wide range of contingencies, from bad weather forcing staff to stay at home to terrorist attacks.
