16/04/2009
Virtualisation is increasingly becoming a key technology in many businesses' IT strategies and to this end, a Europe-wide virtualisation conference is being organised in Germany.
The conference, which will take place in Dusseldorf in May, is organised by DataCore. It will focus particularly on the use of virtualisation for data storage centres.
Iris Hatzenbichler, marketing and operations manager EMEA for DataCore, explained that the conference will not only offer networking opportunities for end users but will also seek to unravel some of the more complex aspects of virtualisation.
He added: "We are pleased that we have already received lots of [
] international interest.
"In the present economic downturn, storage virtualisation is like a vitamin syringe because it offers cost savings for businesses and growth potential for the channel."
Virtualisation can help organisations cut their IT costs by reducing the number of physical machines needed to run servers.
