Sophos claims to boost IT reliability

Internet security firm Sophos has just released a new version of its SafeGuard Enterprise solution, which claims to improve IT efficiency and robustness.
The company claims that its endpoint data security encryption system and data leakage prevention solution is designed specifically with portable devices such as PDAs and laptops in mind equipment which is often used to access information hosted in data storage facilities via an internet connection.
Sophos SafeGuard Enterprise 5.40 is part of a family of security packages offered by the firm and the company claims that it is easy to maintain and works on removable media devices, such as pen drives.
Nagraj Seshadri, senior product marketing manager at Sophos, said: "With this latest Sophos SafeGuard Enterprise offering, customers will continue to receive maximum data protection with encryption."
Meanwhile, IT expert Subhomoy Biswas, said that up-to-date anti-virus software is essential for firms which want to avoid downtime and implementing their disaster recovery plans.
