Orange launches SME-friendly business broadband package
08/04/2009
Network provider Orange has launched a new business broadband service which it hopes will be particularly appealing to small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
SMEs which sign up to the £4.95 a month business broadband service will be granted 500 megabytes of data allowance, something Orange hopes will help them to more efficiently manage daily tasks "without incurring any nasty hidden costs".
Martin Lyne, a spokesperson for the network, highlighted that Britain's SMEs are particularly seeking to cut costs as they feel the effects of the recession.
He continued: "There's enough capacity in our new data bundle to combine work with some fun such as social networking and entertainment that doesn't penalise either staff or the bill payer."
In related news, Orange recently emerged as a possible buyer for the video technology of now-obsolete Project Kangaroo, an enterprise between ITV, the BBC and Channel 4.
