Manic Monday, a US-based business which provides basic web services to other companies, has been enjoying the benefits of a managed hosting solution, it has emerged.
According to iomart hosting, which put the system in place, the new IT infrastructure has helped Manic Monday expand as and when they need to.
The company specialises in the design and management of ecommerce and interactive web sites for a range of clients including Yankee Doodle Dandy, a vendor of Americana.
Richard Walkling, manager of Manic Monday, said: "[The managed hosting provider] sees all the traffic going through our websites and almost second guess us as to what servers and rack space we need. I can't fault them."
Managed hosting solutions can help companies by transferring responsibility for data storage centre space and maintenance on to a third party.
This not only means that companies don't have to shell out for their own in-house data storage centre, but also saves them the cost of having to upgrade it.
