Tesco 'may offer broadband' to mobile users

Personal and business broadband customers might be interested to hear Tesco is considering launching its own offering into the mobile broadband market.
According to Tech Watch, the UK supermarket chain may develop a product line for mobile broadband customers - although there is yet no word on how or when this may proceed.
Such a service could help the company gain a higher market share as it will add to existing connectivity options already in its line-up.
"Tesco [has] already made changes to its own pre-pay tariffs, making it more attractive to its customers through aggressive pricing and a simplistic way of operating," Tech Watch said.
Meanwhile, Tesco's breadth of products was highlighted last month when it announced it was to offer customers prescription glasses for £15.
The company first entered the optical market in 1998 and recently neared a total of 100 operating in-store opticians.
