UK business broadband expertise needed in Singapore

The government of Singapore has called upon a UK business broadband provider to analyse the quality of the city's broadband services, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Singapore's Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) has decided to employ the expertise of Welsh-based business broadband provider Epitiro to provide and maintain a deployment of ISP-I(TM) in order to assess the quality, latency and throughput of the business broadband services available in the country.
The UK company has a global network infrastructure of hardware and software in place that reports customer's experience of business broadband to a common database, which the IDA is hoping will help improve Singapore's broadband facilities which will then attract more businesses to the country.
Gavin Johns, chief executive of Epitiro, told the Wall Street Journal: "The IDA is committed to growing Singapore into a dynamic global information and communications hub. We are delighted to serve as an independent advisor to the IDA."
The IDA says that its strategic goal is to create a business telecommunications infrastructure that will attract foreign investment to Singapore.
